Fundraising Ideas

Funding a mission trip is easier when you invite others to be part of it. Be sure to thank every donor and share how your trip impacted you when you return!

Ask in Person

  • Talk directly with friends, family, or church members about your mission trip. Share why you’re going, what you hope to do, and how they can help. A sincere, personal request is often the most effective way to raise support.

Send a Letter

  • Write a short, heartfelt letter (or email) asking for prayers and financial help. Mention your fundraising goal and other ways you’re raising funds, and include a photo or link to your project page.

Share at Church or Groups

  • Ask your pastor or group leader if you can give a short presentation about your trip. Show a short BRI video to help people see the mission and inspire them to contribute.

Use Crowdfunding

  • Create a page on sites like GoFundMe or GiveSendGo. Share your goal, photos, and story so people can easily donate online. Let BRI know if you’re using one of these platforms.

Host a Sale

  • Hold a bake sale, lunch stand, or yard sale. Let people know all proceeds support your mission trip.

Use Your Skills

  • Turn your talents into fundraising opportunities—offer car washes, tutoring, photography, yard work, babysitting, or lessons in exchange for donations..
