Peru Mission Trip

A message came to Build and Restore to help construct a new church in Peru. It had come from Central California, from one of our sister churches there, and it came from a family that had immigrated out from Peru way back in the early 70's. And so Ostap began to investigate what would be needed to help construct this church. The history behind this small city, is that a small group of Adventists, 3 families, had sold their possessions and moved out to a new territory where there was no Adventist presence. It's inspiring to see their courage, boldness for Christ and their willingness to go above and beyond to bring the Adventist message; to share Christ with those people in that region that did not know about Jesus.

As they settled in that region and as they began to work, as they began to provide for their lives, they were still perplexed how they would get the land, how they would build the church and how they would reach the people of that city. And yet little by little, it started with home churches, home groups, they gathered together one by one, to share what God had done in their lives and what could be done in the lives of those in that city. Today as we look at their history we see that the city of Abcancay now has 5 churches, and God has truly blessed their efforts, their faithfulness to His word, and has provided an opportunity for them to build yet another church.

As Build and Restore went out to Peru we saw how devoted these faithful believers were, we saw how tirelessly - with so much effort and prayer - they were moving in faith to build a new church that would serve that region of Abancay. The church would be centered right next to the Adventist school there and would become a place of worship and a place of education for the next generation. The basement has been completed, the first level of the church, the main auditorium, is about 70% completed, we are currently working on the balcony, and then some time in early 2024 we will began building the roof and filling in the walls with brick. By God's grace sometime in late 2024 we are hoping have the building enclosed, windows in place, doors in place, and begin the process of installing electrical, plumbing and all the necessities needed to construct a new church.

We want to thank each person that has provided, that has prayed for this project, who has sent in finances for this project and we want to be prayerful that God will see this project till its' completion. We thank you for your prayers and your financial support as we seek to build yet another church in Peru.
